Dulin Sets Record, Wins Pole, Finishes Second At Dillon

DILLON, S.C. -- (March 21, 2026) Neal Dulin put together one of his strongest Pro division weekends yet last weekend at Dillon Motor Speedway, turning heads with a pole-winning lap, a new track record, and a runner-up finish after leading the Joe Ryan Race Cars team to a dominant qualifying effort.

Dulin and the Joe Ryan Race Cars team showed promising speed during Friday’s test session, but Saturday’s early practice rounds did not fully reflect what was coming. He was 10th and 18th out of 28 cars in the two practice sessions, leaving work to be done before qualifying.

Everything changed once the race tires went on.

Dulin responded with a big lap in qualifying, earning the pole by just three thousandths of a second over new teammate Jacob Staten while also setting a new track record. Just as impressive, the Joe Ryan Race Cars camp locked out the top four spots on the grid with Dulin, Staten, Spencer Bradshaw, and Rhylee Hutchins.

When the race began, Dulin and Staten quickly separated themselves at the front and spent the opening laps racing closely together. Staten got a strong launch off turn four and made a clean pass for the lead entering turn one. Dulin stayed with him and continued to battle hard until a caution slowed the pace.

On the restart, Dulin chose the outside lane and settled back in line behind Staten before another caution reset the field again. After racing resumed, Dulin found himself in a fight with Bradshaw for second. The two battled for several laps before Dulin got underneath him on the backstretch and completed the pass coming off turn four.

That put his focus back on the leader.

With 12 laps to go, a caution gave Dulin one more chance. Choosing the inside lane, he cleared Bradshaw and began reeling Staten in little by little. By the final lap, Dulin had closed to Staten’s rear bumper and was in position to make a move coming off turn two before an incident involving Ryan Zima and Bradshaw brought the race to an early end.

The result left Dulin disappointed that he did not get the chance to take one final shot at the win, but it did not take away from what was still a highly successful weekend. He had the speed to win, broke the track record, started on pole, and left Dillon with another strong result against tough Pro division competition.

“I’d like to thank the Lord for allowing me to do what I love, my mom and dad for all they do, and Joe Ryan Race Cars for building me a fast machine,” Dulin said.

Dulin will carry that momentum into his next race weekend, with stops coming up at Anderson Motor Speedway on March 27 and Caraway Speedway on March 28.
