Dulin Stacks Podiums in Silver State Road Course Action

LAS VEGAS, Nevada (January 9, 2026) Neal Dulin turned in a strong, hard-earned weekend in Las Vegas at the Silver State Road Course Series, showing speed, resilience, and racecraft across four races against one of the deepest Pro fields he’s faced this season.

Friday’s practice day at Las Vegas Motor Speedway didn’t start as planned.  Dulin’s driveshaft snapped in the opening session. Thanks to quick work by the 860 Motorsports crew, the issue was repaired, and Dulin was able to return to the track and complete the rest of the day’s practice without further problems.

Saturday began with qualifying, where the No. 79 team battled oversteer but still managed a solid fifth-place effort out of 27 cars overall, with 15 in the Pro class. That result placed Dulin third in Heat One. After a close battle that included a photo finish at the line with Devin O’Connell, Dulin finished fourth, lining him up seventh for the first 10-lap feature.

With a few setup adjustments before the green flag, Dulin felt much more comfortable in the car for Race One. After a hectic start in turns one and two, he quickly moved into fifth and began setting up a pass on David Mayhew for fourth. The race stayed tight throughout, with Dulin battling alongside the Reif brothers and Brenden Ruzbarsky. He ultimately crossed the line fourth, recording the second-fastest lap of the race.

The starting order for Race Two was set by the finishing order from the first feature, and the intensity picked up immediately. The top four ran nose to tail, trading positions and keeping the pressure on each other throughout the race. On the final lap, Tanner Reif overshot turn one and made contact with Ruzbarsky, opening the door for Dulin to move forward. He closed rapidly but ran out of laps to catch Tyler Reif, finishing second with the fastest lap of the race.

Sunday’s action opened with another strong qualifying run, as Dulin secured second on the grid without the help of a draft partner. That placed him on the pole for the second heat race. A late-race pass in the final corner by Tyler Read dropped Dulin to second, setting him up fourth for the feature.

At the start of Race Three, contact with Read in turn one shuffled Dulin outside the top five. He wasted no time recovering, taking advantage of a mistake by Tanner Reif in turn seven, then outbraking Read in turn one and David Mayhew the following lap to move back into third. On the final lap, Read made a late lunge into turn seven, but Dulin responded with a decisive move in the final corner to secure the final podium spot.

For the final race of the weekend, Dulin started third and immediately went to work battling Tyler Reif and Ruzbarsky at the front. As the race progressed, tire wear began to take its toll. After Read made a move in turn nine and Tanner Reif followed through in turn five, the complexion of the race changed again when Read overshot turn five and spun after contact with Tanner. Moments later, Tyler Reif was collected by a lap car, bringing out a full-course yellow that ended the race. Dulin was scored third at the finish.

While he hoped for a late restart, the call from race control stood, closing out a weekend that put the No. 79 back on the podium and showed continued progress in Pro competition.

Dulin was happy after Sunday's race.  "It was a fun weekend, and I'm learning a lot about this course," he said. "We're really close to our first Pro win. I think we can get it here when we come back, but first we have the first weekend of Winter Heat racing at Charlotte.  We're running the Roval, which I am really excited for.  I can't thank God enough for all He does for me, and I need to thank 860 Motorsports for always bringing a car to the track that is capable of running in the top five."

Neal has a new website that will be launched for the first INEX Winter Heat Race at Charlotte Motor Speedway.  Stay tuned for details!
